We want to invite you to leave your daily life behind you and connect with yourself and the natural environment around you. If you want to change to the German description please follow this link.
Get immersed into the beautiful nature around you and find calmness in the peaceful seclusion of the countryside. With the practice of yoga, deep ecology and permaculture a holistic program awaits you to celebrate the transformation of the light. Every day will have a different spiritual and physical focus. In the mornings we will start with breathing techniques and meditations, followed by a 1,5h Jivamukti Yoga class, which are flowing, dynamic and powerful. In the late afternoon we will teach either soothing 1,5h Yin Yoga classes or work on specific asanas (e.g. backbends, inversions, etc.). In every yoga class we use music and hands-on-assists in order to deepen and round off your personal practice.
Furthermore, we will use various methods and practices inspired by deep ecology, permaculture, Gestalt therapy and spiritual activism to connect with nature and our real beings. The practices will be taught freely since there should be enough time for you to wander on the site, the bordering forest and fields, jump into the fresh pond and find quietness through observation.
In the evenings we will sing, dance, hold ceremonies or give you time to do whatever you feel like. On the night of the 21st we will celebrate together the night of the summer solstice with a connecting ceremony. Be there with us to praise the most precious and lightest time of the year!
When Where & How to Get There
The Yoga Retreat will take place from June 20th to 23rd 2019 in the “Zukunftszentrum Nieklitz” in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (North of Germany). The site is a beautifully area of 10ha committed to ecology, sustainability and transformation and is managed collectively by a loving community.
Arrivals will be possible until Thursday, 20th until 4pm. We will start with the first yoga session at 5pm. The program ends on Sunday, 23rd after lunch at 2pm.

The trainers and organizers
Janna teaches Jivamukti Yoga and Yin Yoga – the flowing and physically demanding asana style is complemented by slower and relaxing postures, her hands-on-assists and matching music. Janna is Advanced Certified Jivamukti teacher with more than five years of teaching experience. She is also an political activist and strongly inspired by Joana Macy’s work of deep ecology, permaculture and the ancient wisdom of nature. Besides teaching, she enjoys singing and long walks in the forests. Based in Brussels now, the retreat is one the rare opportunities of her classes in Germany.
Ceylan is a co-founder of Wir bauen Zukunft and loves creating spaces for encounter and transformation. Within the project she experiments with Tinyhomes, co-working and living and social permaculture. She is currently undergoing a Gestalt therapy training and is intensively involved in yoga. She organizes the retreat and is available for all questions.
The practice of yoga and the close connection to nature shall be completed by healthy and super-yummy food. The nutritious meals will be vegan and mostly cooked with regional and seasonal ingredients of biological origin. We want to immerse into delicious food without being heavy, so that the food is well balanced with the physical and spiritual practice. Besides the three main meals for every day there will be tea, coffee and snacks served all day.
The accommodation options are creative and exceptional places that are mostly commonly shared. You can either sleep in the individually designed bunks inside or check out the jurt, the house of the fragrants outside or even bring your own tent to find your personal spot on the site. If you want to know more about the different options, please check out!
If you prefer to have a more private sleeping option and you’re not a camping person we will be happy to help you organize private accommodation nearby the site.
